Park Culling Opportunities

Hi everyone,

We are pleased to once again offer opportunities to partake in our park deer culling days throughout the South of England.

Our cull days are strictly limited to only four people at a time, and you will experience culling of Red, Fallow and Sika deer under the professional guidance of the Jelen team.

These opportunities are an ideal way of brushing up on your shooting and gralloching skills, and learning new skills and techniques under the watchful eye of one of our professional field operators. It is also an ideal opportunity for you to practice for your DSC2 culls.

The day will involve you going out with one of our instructors and shooting a deer in line with our pre-determined cull criteria. Once the animal is confirmed dead, then the instructor will take you through the entire process from bleeding, evisceration, inspection, skinning (if required) to cold storage.

Upon completion, then you will do the same again either with the same instructor or a different one. Some clients shoot several deer in the same day, so by the end of it you will be able to shoot, gralloch and inspect a deer to DSC2 standards.

The cull days will be in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Hampshire and W. Sussex. The cull days will be held on every Thursday from 4th October through to 13th December.

For more information please EMAIL me at mike@jelendeer.com for availability and prices.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

I did this cull day early this year and it was a very good day. You get 1 to 1 tuition along the way while you select and cull an animal and then field gralloch it. Then you go through the inspection at that stage and more back in the larder, its a good day to do multiple grallochs but in no real way sporting. Yet the shooting is hard because they are well aware of people being there in the park. Ultimately I gained a lot from it unsure if I would do another one but its far from as easy as some would suggest. What makes it is the people you meet and the knowledge they have as they do know what they are talking about.
