miniross
Hi all after my first taste on the pigeons with a fellow PW MEMBER on Monday I'm hooked absolutely loved it had a fab day with a spot on bloke. However as I said I am now hooked an because of where I live it's difficult o get any crop to shoot on so I'm going to be cheeky and ask if any one knows of any land thy is avaiable to shoot in Yorkshire or would be intrested in taking me out for a day. I'm insured with the NGO and eager to learn. Thanks Mark

carpentermark
I know there's crops in Yorkshire but I'm in the middle of the sales and it's all cattle and sheep within at least a 20 mile radius Not being funny at all mate but you'll probably find a lot off here travel further than 20 miles for their shooting. My permission is 27 miles from my doorstep. The one way to get permission of your own is to find a farm with a pest problem and ask and keep asking at farms till someone says yes. It wont come easy but persevere. Good luck. ps. You're probably best waiting till Winter and find some Rape thats getting hammered and ask then, 'cause it's when they're eating the young plants that the Farmers want them shot most. This time of year they're on the stubbles so no real damage is being done and the Farmer will most likely refuse. williamr
Hi, Have you considered a shooting club?,the NPPC have land from the Midlands up through Yorkshire and up to the north east, this may give you what you are looking for, until you get your own permissions,I see you are from pateley bridge, that's were the NPPC is based, give John shooter a ring he will be able to give you more detail. good hunting. houlsby
Fill your car up and drive round for a few weeks. Get one permission and hammer it. Your farmer will tell his mate... And there's your next job. Do this several times and you'll have loads to shoot on.
