rapid12
A mate of mine off this forum has read somewhere that remington are recalling some certain batchs of .22 subs as the bullet heads are too loose and that most of the rounds are supersonic not sub? has anyone else seen anything about this as i have a couple of hundred in the safe and i have checked the heads and they do seem very loose and some play in movement although i cant pull out the heads with my hands. cheers. Whats new, remmingtons have always been like that- the worst sub ever!

drut
Strangely I have had good results from some batches(but not others)of Remington subs, but every one I've ever checked had a wobbly head.Never had any go supersonic or fail to fire but some low powered & frequent flyers on the bad batches. Amazed
It was in 22 shooter as I recall I only scanned through the review and I am sure it mentioned a recall but can not find anything else about it. May of been me miss reading it.
coyotemaster
I think Kent is very right , absolute trash subs. I bought 3 boxes at Wally World and about 1 out of every 7 fails to fire and the groups are not anything spectacular. I had used Remmy subs years ago with no complaints looks like their QC went south. I like to use subs for squirrels , will look at Wolf Target next. So at least we know its not the shipping that makes them kack! I think they are the worst round by far, I had a batch of yellow jackets not so long ago and the failure rate was quite similar. I stick with Winchester now, subs and supers, never had any problems with them.
hillmouse
That sounds normal for Remmington subs. Inconsistent, fail to expand, dirty and prone to misfires. Been like it for years.

I will report on them after I have them at the range and on game. Timothy
