-Mongrel-
Well, Gummy shark anyway. Better known as the Smoothound. We've been having a real bumper season on the hounds, the below are part of a 27 fish bag between two on a four hour session. Another session yielded 51 hounds between four, unbelievable figures really. These fish are all coming at night and from the Hayling island area, all came to small hardback crabs, you can't beat their natural food source! Just need to find the Bass now! My PB currently, 13lb 4oz, ...and a 13lb 2oz Starry 'hound. Edited August 14, 2012 by -Mongrel-

-Mongrel-
you tried eating one..... JDF Errr, no, didn't fancy trying to prep it actually. There is a vid on YouTube that involves big knives, pliers and similar such. I'd assume it to be something along the lines of a large piece of Rock (as in what you get in the chipppie)? Sprackles
Spurdog is what you savverners call rock. Used to fish for them commercially. Easy to skin with the right tools. An s hook and a big knife, 10" blade is all you need. The rest of the doggy family don't measure up on taste.
