HDAV
Olympics are an old recipe been around for nearly 30 years, firsts are a new "budget model" you haven't been able to use Eley Olympics in the olympics for quite a while (28g loads and ISSF comps now use 24g). Magnum 3
I bought a thousand the other day and they seem to go bang and then eject no probs
clayslayer
Olympics are a true 70mm case with better components, being marked competition dont mean a thing speed and ballistics are very close in most cartridges used for clay shooting also only available in plastic wad., Olympics are a little faster but not a lot.First are plastic or fibre, 28 24 and 21gm ,21 gm are loaded to be about 1140 fps at 66 ft. Olympics are made in 24 gm for the europian market or as special order. Edited August 19, 2012 by clayslayer

rainman_l
Eley First 28g cycle no problem in my Winchester X2.
TattooedClayBreaker
Had no problems with Eley First 28g through the Maxus but the Mrs has had a few issues with Eley First 24g's through her Maxus. We have noticed that they are very dirty carts. Tried a slab of Eley Blues which I preferred over the the Firsts, also a bit cleaner but not as clean Hull Super fast & Comp X. Will Poon
Eley Olympics 28g and Cheddite cartridges are no problem in my maxus , they go bang and break the clays (sometimes)
ayano3
I use Eley Firsts in my Winchester SX2 (3 1/2" chamber) and had not had a jam in 500 cartridges. Eley have changed the First cartridge slightly, not sure on components but the latest ones (Gold writing) I have had a 2 or 3 jams in maybe 200 cases. I have a few left and will use them up but I have moved onto the Hull Super fast 29g 6's.
