Went out last night with Tone to see if we could bag a couple of foxes, got to the humanely dispatching fields about 11 o clock but conditions wern't great, absolutely dead still and clear night, never seen so many stars, after about an hour we kept hitting patches of fog as well, think we went in the twilight zone  didnt see any sign of Raynard all night so decided to have a play with his new browning .22lr, lovely little gun, silent and deadly, set it up for 50 - 60 yards and went to a couple of fields in persuit of coney, pulled on the first field and it was like watership down, trouble was we had to drive into safe positions to take the shot as it wasnt ideal but managed to take a few all head shot, then the same story on the next, had an enjoyable couple of hours, if we had the Rapid 7 with us we could have shot 30 on one field, always there for next time, got in about 5 this morning and up at 8.30 with the kids :( , at least im not at work today, ah well breakfast then clean the bunnies.

My turn to drive next time, will probably see 20 foxes :hmm: , cheers fella

yes, lovely little gun, never been a fan of the .22 due to richochets but as long as your sensible you cant beat them for its stealthiness.

Yea, thats why I did the deal with Tony, as I have roads and footpaths, I only have a few spots that I could of effectively used it without worrying, and to boot, my land seems to be the most ricoquet prone land on the planet, had many a hmr round scream off!

"the killing fields", and we wonder why antis have so much ammo against us?

fair comment, please accept my unreserved apology, forgot about political correctness, but i think they can get all the ammo they need off any number of posts and pictures, seems ok to call a film about the slaughter of millions of cambodians through the pol pots regime the killing fields but not for pest control. a crazy world we live in.
