Great few hours on Saturday PM - thanks Les (Elby) !

Arranged late last week to get out on Les' fields for a few hours on Saturday afternoon. Popped out for a cycle on Saturday morning and got a text from Les early in the morning to tell me that there were hundreds of pigeons around so the sooner I got there the better.

After cycling and sorting myself out, I got on the field for 1pm, set up and in the hide for 1.30. From then until 4.30, I couldn't stop for a coffee break as the sky always had a pigeon or 7 to keep on eye on!

I picked out my shots - not wanting to waste cartridges, or take shots which I knew would be out of my comfort zone and ended up with 60 pigeons for 90 shots.

Bear in mind that its a big old field and Les had two other shooters on the field for the day (both with over 100 each), I have to say that it was a brilliant few hours.

Thanks Les!

PS - That was one of the highlights of a great 3 days - My first stalk and Muntjac Doe on Friday (thanks Jason - "muntjacstalker") - but I forgot my camera!, plus a 4lb 4oz rainbow on Friday evening - again no flipping camera......
