Ryan gun
How much do they cost and where do you get them from or would we just be better off with a starting pistol for training our cocker Ps: hope this is in the right section Atb ryan
darren 67
If you can use a starting pistol. As you can fire it inside your game bag to dampen the sound at the start then out side the bag when used to noise. And if you do get adapters you could use shot gun so your cocker gets used to looking where gun is pointed when fired to mark the retrieve. Just take it easy though once frightened a lot more work to put right rather than taking your time and rushing the dog.

WGD
I wouldn't use one in anything other than an old gun dedicated to dog training, I very nearly had an expensive mistake with a Beretta when I couldn't get the adaptor out! darren 67
If you use alloy or brass snap caps you could always undo the Allen screw and take the spring out then the blanks fit in the snap cap and you can fire them.
Bazooka Joe
Just make your own & use Hilti Cartridge Blanks
