gibspoon
I was talking to the owner of one of my permissions the other day, and he jokingly (I think!!) said when I asked about the noise of the gun, that it sounded like a cannon. Obviously, I don't want to disturb him as far as possible, so I'm thinking about trying subsonics But I've never heard them go off before. Does anyone use them (in an unsuppressed shotty) and will they make much difference to noise?\ Cheers G
Rimfireboy
The lower velocity will reduce range but they're a bit quieter.
Catweazle
There aren't many types available. Eley Hushpower are 32g No6, fairly quiet and low recoil but don't hit very hard. Reloading might be the solution, allowing you to use larger shot. I bought a MEC and will be trying to load 34-36g of No5 or No4 in a subsonic load. Incidentally, the Hushpower is the only cartridge I've found that won't cycle my Beretta semi-auto.

A1 for 36g subsonics. but i would stick to 32g loads as they pattern tight anyway
