Merlin64
Looks a very good piece of kit. I charged the battery and it took 5 mins to go to green so Im only thinking the factory must have already done the full 8 hr charge . Took 2 mins to fit it , I just need to get out on Saturday evening to try it out on the rabbits . The screen is smaller in real life too than it looks on the videos . The battery I dont think is too heavy but I wont really know till I get out and try it.

Merlin64
Went out after zeroing in the scope to about 35 yards. Put the NS 50 on , and I had a nice clear picture on 3x zoom , but anything more it was a bit blurry. Maybe its my scope . Anyway I shot 3 rabbits in 2 hours , it was easy seeing them , the eyes are lit up so well . Not a great night as no wind and moon light .I like the way you look at the screen and prefer it to searching through a scope, I can imagine that could get tedious after a couple of hours . Its very steady aiming with the NS , I found it better than the usual eye to scope . I did try the first setting on the lamps but this did not show any ammount of picture at all , only on the 2nd setting did I get a picture and then up to 5th setting . All in all I am impressed . I just want to go out again now .

Thanks , I should read the manual again , I will try hooking up my video camera next , can watch my hunts then instead of x- factor . Merlin64
Also think I need to tape up the silencer and barrel to cut some deflection down on the light . It advises this in the manual. Arms feel tired today after searching around all night . i read nite site are bringing out a search monocular soon which would help to cut down on using the whole rifle . kiffy
ive been tempted by the ns50 for a while as i enjoy ratting, or i used to when i used my air gun and now i want to get back into it i think it would be a hell of a toy, i had a look through steve_b's ns200 a few days ago and was amazed... the second funds allow i will be ordering an ns50
Merlin64
I was out tonight again . Could see rabbits from 90 yards away but such a bright moon and no wind again meant little success. The NS50 is a very good tool in the rabbit hunters box . But make no mistake you wont get close to them without some fieldcraft , they were always wary and challenged me fully tonight. Nothing like being out though on a lovely bright night
Merlin64
Had 2 hours out with the Nite site, bagged 3 rabbits . A bit of wind and cloud made alot of difference tonight , the rabbits were venturing out into the stubbles . I completely missed 4 rabbits due to range factor error. I watched 2 foxes hunting together as they moved towards me within 20 yards before they got my scent and ran off . Its a great bit of kit , I may get the cobra DSA to fit the scope onto . Although expensive, the DSA does make a difference. I use one on my NS200. I also place the monitor to the side of the scope, and turn the camera to the side as well. I find this is better than fitting the monitor in the upright position.
