Liam-1990
Going to upgrade to a 5 gun cabinet and have seen this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4603a72b6f but it only comes with 4 securing bolts and 4 pre drilled holes is this enough as I have my current cabinet secured with 4 bolts to the wall and 4 to a concrete floor. Thanks
Big Mat
I have one of those cabinets ( mines the 4 gun one they did ) and it only has 4 holes for securing it and it's fine, the thing is certainly not going to come off the wall! Kes
How much security do you need? do reasonable precautions still apply ? mine has the same option and four in the wall is enough or if you are australian, four in the base. Liam-1990
Good il order one then cant see bolting it to the floor any real benefit as its going upstair on floor boards so if they get it off the wall ripping it out the floor would be easy. thanks
phaedra1106
Before you do have a think about how many guns you may end up with and then buy a cabinet that's at least half as big again, preferably twice as big, Gun cabinet manufactures ratings (to me) are always on the low side, yes you could squeeze 4 shotguns in a 4 gun cabinet but they would be right next to each other, substitute one or two for a scoped rifle and it would drop that to a 3 gun capacity without them being too close for comfort!. I have a large 10 gun cabinet, with 5 scoped rifles (3 with target turrets) and a section 1 shotgun and there's not a lot of room between them to prevent knocks etc.

My other option is to split shotguns from rifles and just get another cabinet. This might be easier as I remember just how many fixings I used on my current one - well OTT, but you can swing on the door ! ATB
phaedra1106
Which is exactly what I did, got a second 4 gun cabinet for the 2 shotguns and the air rifle, just fit nicely but now I'm thinking I should have got a bigger one
station
When we extended our house a few years back we got a really big bedroom with en suite and also a walk in wardrobe for the wife. In my dreams one day I will have a walk in armoury !
WelshLamb
I have a 3 gun cabinet, and a 5 gun cabinet. Both bolted with 4 expansion bolts each into a red brick wall (chimney breast) Neither of them will shift without a good fight!
