  1. My mate once gave me about 20 winchester 410s that was at least 15 years old I took one of the catridges out the box and the primer was dented sort of half dented it looked like it had been hit by a weak firing pin. I loaded it in the gun n fired it and it went off no problems abit scary really as it could have gone off with the slightest knock. All the other cartridges went off fine so they must have been stored well.
  2. Just the add another part to the question. What choke and what distance ?
  3. I can appreciate that a shotgun is not everyones first choice but if a rifle is not an option its the next best thing.

    Ratcatcher

I wouldnt have a co2 powerd rifle for any serious hunting as the power goes up and down with temperature which I would have thought will effect your scope zero but im sure they're good fun for plinking and ratting.

    Ratcatcher

What about a rabbit stopper Ive never had one or used one but it looks to be slightly better than the ratcatcher. Maybe some one can correct me or confirm it but its something else to think about.
  7. you will need to be very skilled to get clean kills at 30 yrds with iron sites. get a .177 and a decent scope and rest on something to keep you steady and zero it in yourself to suit your own eye. I cant think of any reason why iron sites would be easier than a good scope. get something like a hawke hd sport 3-9 x 40 with paralax you will get pellet on pellet at 20-30yrds
  8. every ones made mistakes and no one came to any harm THIS time so think on in future learn from it keep ya head down seek some proper advice about it being revoked. if you cant get it back just yet try next year or the year after if no joy. keep shooting with your friends when you can and maybe take up fishing or something.
  9. i was thinking of using bisley magnums just to add abit more punch to the tiny pellets. thanks for the advice.
  10. strap a decent torch to your gun improvise a filter for it ive used a couple of layers of jaffa cake wrapper made a good orange filter for my little rabbit lamp.
  11. could be gypsies they dont give a damn n they use dogs
  12. sorry if this has been covered before but I was wondering if my ultra is around 11-12ft lb with normal pellets if I used heavier FAC pellets would it push it over 12ftlb ? thanks

  20. So the average seems to be about 30-40yrd with a few challenging/ lucky 50/60yrds shots but more can be achieved with bigger shot and heavier load.
