ditchman Posted September 24, 2012 Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 They kill well though, never understood this dirty cartridge thing myself- just clean it afterwards next time you use it, brush the dirt/fouling out of the barrell onto a hard suface , push it together and put a match to it...if it "fizzies" it is unburnt powder....proberley as a result of the ammo not been stored properly.....put the ammo in the airing cupboard for 2 days then see..i always use eley furlong and never have any muck left in the tube..... Thanks ditchman, got them at the midland so thats a possibility, will try it and see................. They kill well though, never understood this dirty cartridge thing myself- just clean it afterwards clean the gun everytime its used was just curious why they should be (apparently) worse than other brands......... ditchmans explanation may be it !
