Variation phone call

Wife took a call today from the police ref my variation ,they said they were processing it but can't go any further as I didn't send my cert in ,no problem wife said I'll get him to post it ,this is were I'm a little unsure they said they needed the blue part my cert isn't blue any were so posted all of it ,wot is the blue part is my question and just to let you know it's only been five days since I applied

only blue thing is the variation paper work and they need your old cert back to change details on it for new guns you have put down did you send your licence?

It does say in big letters on veriation to send in your licence ;P

 

 

It's not unreasonable to not send in a certificate immediately. For some people who's forces are very slow to deal with variations, they have to apply for the variation and get it into the pile to be dealt with, then when it's approved send in the certificate to be amended.

For many people it's just not possible to go for months without buying any ammo.

 

As to asking for a 'blue' bit, i can't imagine what they mean. Someone must have got confused somewhere!

Agreed and I'm sure I read somewhere that BASC's advice is not to send it with your variation form.
