fenboy
Still been a few birds showing on the fields out the back of my house , so thought I would have a few hours this afternoon . from the off there were birds passing but showing no interest in decoying what so ever , I moved the magnet 3 times , changed the pattern twice then pulled the magnet in altogether still with no joy , so I decided it was better just to shoot them flighting . I had some cracking sport with almost every bird being a good high one despite the wind and I had some fantastic shots , nothing like seeing a high one folding and hitting the ground with a plume of feathers !. To cut a long story short in three hours I managed 62 for 84 shots , a cracking few hours. Edited October 4, 2012 by fenboy
JDog
Good for you. I personally prefer flighting birds rather than ones coming into decoys but I rarely get the chance. Your cartridge to kill ratio was exceptional.
Whitebridges
Excellent shooting FB not only in terms of kills to carts ratio but in terms of quality. Flight shooting high pigeon takes some beating in my view. Think, if they were partridges how much that little lot would cost you? Funny you should say that because while I was shooting I did think to myself just how much daft ******* pay to shoot pheasants at this height
