mikesy
Hi , just getting back into pigeon shooting after 20 years and I've notice a lot of new products on the market. I've just bought a 5m stealth net on what I've read on the forum, but what I was hoping to buy is a similar net but suitable for corn stubble fields. The net I have looks great with a dark backdropsuch as a hedgerow but would look out of place in the middle of a corn field. Is there a similar net available in the market with an inner mesh that I can use in a corn field? My thought was that I can double the nets up with the appropriate net on the outside depending where I'm shooting thus having better concealment with the double net. I've looked around but have not seen anything. Any advice would be most welcome. many thanks Mike
motty
I wouldn't worry too much about the colour. Pigeons are not clever enough to think that a person will be hiding in a construction in the middle of a field.
mikesy
Thanks Motty. If that's the case regarding the colour , you think its still worth doubling up the net in an open field with no backdrop?
Jesse James
I double mine up bud, but then it makes it hard to see through of course.... works for me, or I throw some branches, leaves and cut corn stalks on it too. Its movement mate that they pick up on. are hoping to be able to see through it sitting or stand up and watching... I stand and look over top. lee

mikesy
I'll go for the doubling up of the nets I've just seen a Harvest Ghost net on E##y that looks ok. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the advice I put a camp blind behind my Clearview net. Works well. Also sometimes add a fishing umbrella to cast a shadow over the hide. motty
Thanks Motty. If that's the case regarding the colour , you think its still worth doubling up the net in an open field with no backdrop? I very often double up on hide nets. On Thursday i used a desert net with stealth nets on the inside. This was on a barley stubble field.Usually i just use 2 stealth nets together. Cosd
I use a stealth net and double up with a clearview if needed. I find the combination of these two covers me for every situation all year round. I too am not worried about the colour. Cos
DR JAMES
I have a DESERT STORM CAMMO net which I use over the top of my STEALTH net & has worked well for me just wish there was Pigeons around to shoot, to many stubble feilds around at the mo and there is still one BEAN field to cut which they are hitting hard. GOOD LUCK
