goldeneye243
I have got a 20g MK60, and there are potentially going to be some ducks on one of my drives. What is the best choice of cartridge? I'm guessing that I cant use steel because of the fixed 3/4 choke. My other option would be my SxS (an AYA no. 4) but that is also choked 1/4 and 3/4 and also not proofed for steel. I may end up taking my 12g MK 70 but it is third choice as it is much heavier for the walk one stand one that we do.... Any thoughts? goldeneye243
I think you might be right - I will try my local gunshops and see how much they are (I already know they will be expensive...)
henry d
Tungsten Matrix is better, though not cheap, but you wont need too many.
goldeneye243
I popped in the gunshop and got 10 20g tungsten matrix and 10 12g tungsten matrix so I can now use either. Not cheap at about £20 a box but never mind...
matone
I`ll be interested to hear how the 20 performs with them.
kent
as you have a choice of guns i should just open one up a tad from 3/4 to half. Then use two shot sizes up on the norm normally this means no.3.

I will let you know how I get on if I get a chance at some ducks! as you have a choice of guns i should just open one up a tad from 3/4 to half. Then use two shot sizes up on the norm normally this means no.3. I could get the Miroku opened up, but to be honest it is only going to be if there is the odd duck likely when I am out game shooting. I have got a semi-auto that I would use if I was going specifically for ducks. I suspect that these boxes should last me a while!
