Fieldsports seem to be taking a hammering from the tabloid press this weekend. Lots of pictures of angry sportsmen being mis-represented as something they are not and the mandatory dead animal pictures. It looks like it's going to become a hot topic for the papers in the period up to and beyond "The March" date.

 

If only they knew how wrong it is to publish this rubbish.

Its amazing how the average person completely believes everything they read in a newspaper.

But, if ever you are involved closely with something that gets reported by the press, you will be amazed at the inaccuracies and the slant that occurs.

The most common example, is to go to a football match and then read the report, it will seem like a different game.

 

With the approach of The Big March, there will be a focus in the papers on Country Sports.

Unfortunately, not much of it will be supportive.

 

If the March is a big success, the Government and the media will have to take notice.

Its about time all these newspapers, antis etc. woke up to the fact that without shooting and hunting the countryside wouldn't be preserved as it is.

There is only one way to get your own back on the press That is to stop buying newspapers- I did 30 years ago I may not be up to date with current affairs, But at least I dont get angry about all the S---e they write in them

Totally agree with you mate about not buying newspapers. Most of today's "current affairs" aren't worth keeping up with anyway. As regards the antis, I always think that a mass of them should be locked in a large cage out in the country- and be forced to watch a nice pheasant shoot.
