jimmyb79
Hi all, I've just put in for a FAC variation to add a .17hmr to my .22lr and I'm looking for a new scope to go with the .17. I've seen the above scope on half price online at £95 which seems a bit of a bargain but wondered if anyone had some practical experience of this or other Nikon scopes in the price range who could offer an opinion. The alternative is to hold off and save for a Leupold/Redfield... Thanks in advance JB
Egg
I have a 3-9x40 BDC and I can't praise the clarity highly enough. Bang per buck it's a class bit of glass.
the enigma
+1 Great scope,I've one on my Rapid. Just a nice, simple straightforward scope. Since buying my 4-12, I've bought a 3-9x40 Nikoplex for my hmr. Clear image and pretty good in low light. Mine are the older models with the coin slot type turrets, but the newer models have the finger adjustable turrets which is a big plus. Degsie69
I've recently bought the ProStaff 4-12x40 scope and have it on my 22LR, the glass is as crystal clear and bright as the glass in Nikon Monarch I've got on my 17hmr. Build quality is typical Nikon, 1st class. For what Uttings are selling it for at the moment, it's a real steal!
kyska
Its a bargain, but Uttings have sold out.

bicykillgaz
I had the prostaff 3-9x40 Bdc, there great little scopes, brilliant build quality and far better than any scopes in that price bracket. You won't be disappoint if you get one.
bicykillgaz
Have a look at Edgar brothers opti-mate scopes there also exceptionally good value for money and punch above their weight.
