Gunslinga86
Can anyone recommend any shooting grounds with the 'plug in and play' clay mate system in or around high Wycombe, Buckinghamshire please? Cheers chaps.
RossEM
EJ Churchill's have that, I think?
Dunkield
I don't think they do, you are always accompanied by a caddie unless it is a scored event.
Gunslinga86
Thanks for the reply guys. Last time I shot there at EJ's they didn't have clay mate unfortunately. The closest I can find is Luton way
Brigsy
Markyate? Broomhills. Not that close though.
Gunslinga86
Markyate? Broomhills. Not that close though. That's the one, its sort of Luton way. It's looking like the closest anyhow =S
Dunkield
Is there a reason you specifically want to use one? Just curious I thought most people weren't keen on the set up.

No special reason other than I enjoy shooting as many as I like of whatever I like. I'm surprised that people wouldn't like the set ups. All the ones in the south of England I have used have been great fun. Thanks for your help bud Ian Coley`s (Cheltenham) , so just over the hour from Wycombe area, all the stands have claymate system Excellent thanks! Sporting Targets near Bedford uses Claymate. DAVE_B
I'm also based near High Wycombe and have the same problem, tend to make the hike over to Risley near Bedford (Sporting Targets) to get our claymate fix they have many great stands and some pretty impressive towers. I haven't been there but I hear Markyate is worth a visit as well.

huffhuff
Personally, I wouldn't make the effort for broomhills/markyate. Your time would be better spent getting to Risely. Edited November 8, 2012 by huffhuff

Thanks for your help bud You can do that @ Churchill's if you want to, you wander about the place and shoot whichever traps you fancy. for example, around the end of July people go down and just shoot the grouse butts in preparation for the coming season. It would cost more than Sporting Targets but if it's nearer you will save some of the difference on travel costs.
