secretagentmole
Round, you are used to the trajectory and flight and if you hit them, they will still kill! I know! I use Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums myself, either the .22 or the .177!

secretagentmole
Clakk, when you are shooting into trees that are 60 ft high you want a pellet with a predictable flight path. The most stable pellets in flight are known to be domed pellets. Flat heads, pointed heads, hollow points are all known to go a wandering after about 10 metres (33 foot). Therefore a slight bit of common dictates that the most effective shape will be the most accurate pellet. The only reason flatheads are used by paper punchers is the nice clear hole they leave behind. If they were shooting at distances greater than 10 metres and outside, they would be using domed pellets!
jamiedenny
Personally wouldn't use anything other than domed. I assume the Diablo style outsells any other shape by 5:1.

jmj121
H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme .22 . Heavy, exceptionally accurate hunting pellet for long ranges. Deep, crossshaped hollow tip for tremendous shock effect and rapid energy transfer. Work great in my AA FAC 400 extra. clakk
gonna try some domed r.w.s always ratted with hollow point crossmans and used powerpell pointed for distance only because thats wot i was put onto by the man as kindly sold me a hw35 and hw 80 when i started out with air rifles .i was dumb enough to sell them now i have an english b.s.a supersport so il give your domes ago as im happy to learn from your experience .i only mentioned the packs of trial pellets as a way of him making his own choice.hes probably in the same boat as i was no family members into shooting to learn from and only by joining a forum like this do your hear other peoples experiences and suggestions .crossman n bisley hollow points do rats a treat but theres no distance involved and my last rabbitting permission was along a woods you were shooting only 20 /25yds tops so any suggestions are greatfully received.
