steve_b_wales
The Primos Power Crow caller, is, in my opinion, the best Corvid caller on the market, especially for it's low price. I have been using these callers for many years, and have always recommended them to everyone I know who shoots Corvids. A few months ago, I bought a Sam Neyt caller (£34.00) to see if it lived up to the hype it was getting. After trying it for about an hour, I advertised it on here, and sold it. To me, the Primos did everything the Sam Neyt one did, and more. I'm not saying that the Sam Neyt one is useless, as it does have a good sound, but the price is way too high. Get yourself a Primos, learn to use it correctly, and you'll never look back.

steve_b_wales
Hi Steve do you fancy doing a tutorial and putting on youtube to give us a clue what to do. I've been asked to do this in the past. I'll see what i can come up with in the near future. To be honest, all I can do is show how the Primos sounds. In the meantime, you can produce different sounds by making a 'grrr' sound when blowing the caller. Also, if you apply more bite pressure on the reed, it raises the pitch, whilst a less pressured bite will give a lower pitch. I was self tought wwhen I first bought a Primos, and its just a matter of practicing until you think it's right. Listen to how a Crow/Jackdaw sounds, and try and mimic the call. It's not hard to do. Steve.
dolphin
would be good to see how you use them steve might even invest in one myself never used a caller yet atb dolphin
steve_b_wales
would be good to see how you use them steve might even invest in one myself never used a caller yet atb dolphin Don't wait until you see me using mine. Go and buy one and practice with it. It's not difficult. The Primos is an excellent caller, especially for Jackdaw's, although it's deadly for Crow's and Rook's too. Once used correctly, it will help increase your tally. Another good bit of kit is a flapper. I use two, which are fitted with intermittent timers. Again, I have found that the flapper works better with Jackdaw's, but Crows are also attracted to it.
dolphin
already use flappers and floater steve but think its always easier to learn something when watching someone else doing it come on dont be shy

steve0146
They will definately increase the bag size. I have had numerous crows coming from long distance to look at the decoys. They rarely drop in but come in range which is all you need! I would not go crow shooting without the Primos. The call in this vid is the primos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u_LapkUBSo Edited November 25, 2012 by steve0146
