I understand that everyone has a budget, but sometimes(and this is one of them) you are better off saving and buying once and buying well. I have bought several pair that I ended up gifting to someone less fortunate because they didn't suit my needs. I use Nikon which are probably middle of the road in terms of quality, Swift are pretty good for the price. Go someplace where they have a selection and compare brightness and clarity and bear in mind the larger the objective and the better the coatings the more light they will allow under poor lighting.

I bought these as did a few others on the forum, they were on a special the at £20, but even at the higher price now I'd recomend them.

Great. Can you see holes in paper at 200yds ?

Never tried! I use them to watch birds when out doing reccy.

A few friends have tried them and they'v all said great value even compared to some of theirs closer to £100 mark.

I just looked out along our road and could clearly see the clips holding aerial wires down the wall of a house which was easily 200yards away. So in answer to your question I'd say yes, almost definitely.

I'm pretty sure they do full refunds if you're not happy with your purchase, so you've only got postage to lose really.

My Nikons are 10X42 and I would prefer them 10x50 for brightness. Optic coatings matter greatly when it comes to light transmission as well as does Objective diameter. Do your homework before plunking down your hard earned. There is a lot of junk available and there are some that are reasonably priced and decent. Getting what you pay for probably goes double for optics--scopes or binos. At least that has been my experience.

I am not sure if Swift optics are available there but they have been at it for a long while and are pretty good value. You will find that poor optics cause eyestrain and you will come to hate them on an all day foray.
