Kes
I am wanting to buy a good foxing light and want to know if CREE l.e.d's are advanced enough as contenders. It seems to me that the equivalent of 2M candle power with variable power is the best and a good quality LED as light 'when needed' but not yet up to spotting (distance and light too 'white').. Since we are talking £2-300 for a first class set-up, what are you experienced guys using Lightforce, Cluson? Any help welcome and appreciated. LED's particularly are hard to pin down but there are a few - anyone using one?

al4x
Got the night master here and that's pretty good if you are out on your own or walking, not as good as a lightforce with white beam but if you use a filter the red led is superior

Salop Matt
Have to say at £60ish quid i love my Ultrafire ! Great product but lots of cheap nasty copys out there too !
al4x
a lot has to do with how you lamp, if it is from a vehicle and you are searching a lot then you can't beat a 170, the only issue with using an LED to lamp alone is you really have to have it on the rifle and searching like that is not a good way of doing things. But owning two isn't good financially for your pocket, one things sure it beats lugging a large battery about.
