shootnfish
went outside this morning and noticed a buzzard having a bit of a mid air scrap with what looked like a sparrowhawk but it was hardly any smaller than the buzzard, and it definatly was not another buzzard. thought it might be a gos hawk, but having not seen one before i dont know. any ideas? Actionpigeons
It would be very hard to say, lots of birds mob buzzards. chances are it was a F Sparrow hawk they look bigger than they are in flight. A Goshawk would not mob a Buzzard it would just take it down if it had a mind to, unless it was a very small male. JDog
Almost certainly the bird was a peregrine falcon. They give buzzards and ravens etc a hard time. They infact just play with them as they are vastly superior to them acrobatically.
