dazzyboi
A prime example of this would be a springing teal (A clay that leaves the trap and goes vertically upwards) the easiest time to hit this target is when it has reached its highest point and almost stops, before its decent. Clay leaves trap and fires up vertically It still travelling upwards Still travelling then sloowwwwwwwwss down and gets to its highest point (where its not moving), aim directly at the clay and shoot. Clay has been dusted before it starts to fall If you are planning on shooting this target as it is flying up, you will need to give it some lead, depending on the speed and the distance you are from the target. I actually saw this done at Steve smiths Guy on the Grouse using 36g of no 4 shot (dont ask?) takes a low bird and hits the trap :o Every 4th or 5th bird would be fired out in pieces Bit of a ****** for the poor so n so wanting to be on later LG
njc110381
I'll have to bear that tactic in mind. Gives me a chance to at least hit something
pin
A good flying mate of mine, I will spare his blushes naming him, came to try clays about a month ago. All was going well, he hit a few things and had that "Jesus I like this I hit something" glow about him. Until the pigeon flush He shot a Bowmans trap following a clay down, 40+ broke on the trap, and put 12 No 8 shot sized holes in the radio remote receiver Still, no harm done, it all works fine now Our fault for not shielding the trap... Spaniel
TLE there is bound to be something open around the Xmas time, i can always check the shooting mags etc. I had some good Teals on Sunday...they were flying upwards and outwards and it was a matter of pointing the gun in the right position and BANG, you had them every time.. Also there was a nice little looper coming from Left to Right and it just sat there for a secound before starting to drop....as soon as it stopped BANG it was Dust....then it was straight down with the gun for a nice little going away right to left over the bushes, leave it to late and it was gone....great fun But Im so **** at Left to Rights...practise, practise, and then some more practise i think Cheers Spaniel

Martin as to xmas the more the merrier looking forward to it guys
