Can squirrel be cooked 'fast'?

I'm probably out on the squirrels tomorrow so I was thinking about losing my squirrel virginity. And before you start sniggering I mean eating them, not committing unnatural acts with them.

I know skinning them can be a swine so I'm prepared for that, but I was wondering if there is an easy way of trimming out a piece of 'loin' or equivalent, to cook quickly just to have a try?

All the recipes I've seen so far call for slow cooking, is the meat always going to be tough unless done slowly?

Cook it like a chicken. You're right about it being difficult to skin, and there isn't much meat.

Got some fava beans to go with that liver and nice chianti?

;)

No cannibalism in my house, times aren't that hard yet.

Actually it's pigeon breast, my favourite meat. That photo was just to show what you can rustle up for dinner with an air rifle and an hour to spare.
