English archer
I am looking for tips to stop the sun and light bouncing off my glasses when out hunting with my air rifle. I never wore glasses the last time I went hunting (around 8 years ago). I tried contacts, but can't get on with them. How do other glass wearers cope? Salop Matt
I wear glasses and the only problem i really have is them steaming up when wearing face vails, and water drops on them in the rain ! Other than that my only issue is when shotgun shooting, the frame gets in the way of my vision when the gun is moutned ! But air rifle wise I have no problem, and no issue with any glare or reflection ! I also couldnt get on with contacts ! ATB Matt

I once got an anti glare coating on my glasses for about £30 - that could help you. I got it in Specsavers. It did cut down glare but I noticed it most when driving at night TBH. Bloke
I know it is not the cheapest option, but if you shoot regularly, why not invest in a pair of shooting glasses? I use the Doyle system:- http://www.doylesports.net/product/28 It comes with 4 different coloured lenses, or you can buy just one lens, and you need the prescription insert at another £16, Specsavers put long distance lenses in cheaply enough. They are designed for shooters and the frames do not get in the way of your vision, all you need to do is make sure the glasses are ground with a higher centre to take account that you are 'head down' on the stock.
