Piebob
well, first its about £50 to have something put down at the vets, £25 consulation fee and £25 for injection +vat. how is a pensioner going to afford that if he`s catching one every fortnight (just a guess)?? he should have done the job with one pellet. not left it etc. i feel the photo`s were a setup. anyone with alittle comon sense would just have a plain photo. as for the fine, bit much, court costs, bit much. if this had happened 20 years ago, no-one would have even heard about it. what a sad day that the newspapers are reporting about a squirrel. A squirrel. The old boy probably made more money out of doing the newspaper article than the cost of the fine. I reckon he's quids in on this one. cowboy1403
i noticed you have shotguns you cant tell me that every time you have pulled that trigger you have killed the target outright it dont work like that you would have wounded 100's of birds over the years .. did you follow up all them or did you go home and forget about it ?? of course not.but i have never trapped an animal tried to kill it and just left it without checking first.like i said it`s nothing to do with runners or winged birds,it`s about taking the time to check that you have dispatched the trapped animal.
