The Essex Hunter
I was back out on the sheep farm tonight with a lamp man and no driving snow! Last night I did manage a fox with the snow blowing quite strong. Tonight’s fox would not budge to any call and as you can see by the picture he had been there a while as the snow had melted under him….. With only a head showing and 169 yards between me and his fate the cross hairs of my Kahles scope where locked on his muzzle…. This was number 64 and 1 year to the day I started shooting on this piece of land, a very heavy fox and 1 year of great shooting with Werner, Olly, Jeff, Martin, Pete and my Remington 700. FOXHUNTER1
Chunky dog fox 64 off one piece of land is amazing , wish I had ground like that. Mind you Essex is heaving with foxes so not surprised. Anywhere near Osset as I once had a trip down there and shot these 4 without moving standing on top off a muck heap and calling.... The Essex Hunter
What do you do with the foxes? Is there any value in the fur? There are returned to nature….. Regarding the fur they normally have a hole the size of your fist on the exit of the round… http://i856.photobuc.../STA60308-1.jpg TEH
