Suffolk shooter
Had phone call yesterday, first shoot day just been cancelled owing to the Shoot captain having to have an operation. Can't believe it, It's taken long enough to get into a syndicate in the first place and then having made sure all the gear is ordered and ready and with two weeks to go. it's cancelled. Day will be re-organised, but how frustrating :look: Martin, fancy pigeon shooting Friday 3rd Nov (Don't know where) instead or something shooting related? al4x
Thats a bit unusual most times someone else stands in. Not that it'll make you feel better but I've got my first partridge day this season tomorrow and can't wait!
Suffolk shooter
It's alright for some, I should of had a partridge day on the 14th Oct, but my mate cancelled it as i had to dash to OZ on a family emergency and wasn't sure when I'd be back. Instead we joined the Syndicate, and whilst I understand normally somebody would stand in, this shoot has not been shot for some years and the Shoot captain has organised everything within the last two months. The estate in question is owned by a Lord and Lady and he just wants to make sure that everything goes just right in order that we can keep on shooting in the coming years. If i was in his position i would have done exactly the same thing, even though it's still frustrating when you have waited all year for it. CLays, pigeons and wildfowl are great, but this is something i have wanted to do ever since i got my first Shotgun. They say that all good things come to those who wait so hopefully, the delayed start will mean we have an even better first day. (Plus gives my homemade Raspberry vodka abit longer to mature)

Suffolk shooter
oooo, did someone mention homemade raspberry vodka? Yep, and it's looking oh so drinkable, but must give it the full 6 months (I don't think ). First time I've done it though so not sure what it will be like, but hey 4.5 litres of the stuff so if it takes until the last sip to decide I like it so be.
