Cheers fellas, reckon it could be inside if the mag tube being dirty, it jammed with three different types of cart which all previous had been fine so don't think it's that.

as said strip completly and give a good clean. mine is stripped and cleaned every out due to saltwater and performs well with everything i throw at it appart from 36g barnargi cartridges due to jamming in the chamber.

a mate has got a sx3 and mag tube seems to be rusting on the inside . we looked at taking the end of it to give it a clean as per the manual but it seems to have been crimped on any ideas

It does come off but cant remember how i got told to do it. Spray wd40 down it pushing the stopper in and out untill clear then lube with some good oil spray.

Early SX3 had a coated steel tube, most were changed under warranty- is it one of these? the later ones are bright polished s/s. To clean you mag tube do not add any oils etc just yet. Strip the gun and remove the trigger group and shell lifter (its easy and comes out as a single unit). Now clean the inside of the tube well (I use a std 12 g wool mop). Now I should use the smallest amount of a light oil or better still a bit of silicone lube as the end of the feed spring is plastic and so are the main part of the shells. The next area you should attend to is the mag release, which is no more accessible after removing the trigger group / shell lifter. Clean it well with fluid and a toothbrush. Now the gas piston, soak it 24 hrs in meths and clean it up with rag and toothbrush, the outside of the mag tube will have some carbon on it remove this also a little fluid and a green sponge works well. The gas ports from the barrel should also be poked through and cleaned also the ID of the barrel to mag tube connector. Lube all these bits with a tiny amount of light oil wiped on. - Now while you at it pull the bolt out and clean it But more importantly all the action body, pay special attention to the grooves the bolt runs in. Clean all the crud off the trigger group, lightly lube and put it all back together. If you didn't find anything then there is a chance of a weak spring - or its shell choice If it only Jambs on the last fed shell I am 90% sure its crud or corrosion in the mag tube though as this builds and gets pushed to the very end.
