greener86
I bought a Winchester select light 12g new yesterday would of liked the barretta silver pigeon cash would not stretch that far so settled for this first thought nice and light fitted me nice as me shot 50 thought it on the clays first 25 using dan arms 28g second 25 eley 21g first load had a fair bit for recoil but the 21g little recoil . After the clays I went my mate land to see if any crows or pigeon were around so I could try 34gs out there was nothing around . Has any one got this gun and what's it like with a heavy load eg magnum 3" heavier game loads as I am aiming to have a go at the geese next season am thinking this gun going to need a recoil pad being a light 6.5lbs ? fenboy
Its going to be a tad uncomfortable with heavy loads if you are shooting lots of them, but I doubt that will be the case with geese. Sick to 28 gram loads for pigeon and crows , they will kill just fine if you do your bit.
gixer1
Lovely guns, have shot skeet and "five stand" with a friends one in the USA a few times and I really like them - his one has a 26 inch barrel and is lightning fast to swing about. loriusgarrulus
I have one with 28" barrels. Mine is only 6lbs. It has a shortened stock, Kickeze pad and comb raiser fitted. I had it from new and it was measured and altered to fit me before I collected it. Tried a demonstrater out first at Doveridge then bought one. Never been kicked with it. Only used up to 28g clay rounds in it so far. Really pleased with it as a first gun.
