Right bear with me

Bought the other day a brand new HW95 in .177 as a combo from a well known shop.

Got it home and put together, zeroed in and away we go. Hmm thinks I, this has got some poke, some of the windfall apples that were being shot were flying to bits rather than being nicely punctured.

Picture sequence

1 from end of dining room table un zoomed

2 same view zoomed red dot on pine plank=30 yards, yellow dot =50 yards

3 pellets in

4 pellets out at 50 yards Pine board 15mm

Anyone else got one of these to compare performance with?? Never had an air rifle perform like this before

thats nout m8, .177 will do that all day long the smaller pellet does penertrate alot more, ive shot a rabbit in the head at 53 yards, i was using daystate ft .177 and 97k, it went straight through out the other side, and mine does 11.2 ftlb over the chrono :/ but you should chrono it anyway, btw, has yours got the new hw silencer on it ?? :/

weihrauchs have a tendancy to diesel when bought from new, this can cause excess power....also they have started to have a tendancy to NOT have any lube on the mainspring at all....if you know how to m8 strip it down take off any excess lube and lightly re-lube the spring this can help...let us know how you get on...oh and dont forget to chrono the ****** :/

i shoot a hw77 in both .177 and .22

both still diesel like theres no tomorrow, the .22 is close to the legal limit and the .177 is comfortuably under.

Forgot to mention they are 25+ yrs old :/ and they both still hold their own when it comes to shooting groups.

Great rifles.
