Google Philip Webster gunsmith his site will come up, he's a real decent chap, the gun was in there on Thursday when I was there, call him first though

real nice guy ,wouldnt have a deal,(thankfully) also the gun was minging the wood had been cut with a spoon by the looks of it with a 25mm ebonite spacer then a pad, a choke missing no paperwork, discoloured wood, scratches, really heavily used and dirty (looks like it was a paddle in a former life

a waste of £25 of fuel and 2 1/2 hour round trip

Thats strange, why would he say its mint if it is not? i was in the shop the other day and looked at the very same gun, i heard him saying to someone on the phone it was 8-9 out of 10! and the price of £875 would back that up, have always found Phil to be Straight down the line with his appraisals

He cant help what people bring in can he, like Whitebridges says, buy a new one, Philips one was cheaper than any others around and I guess thats why,

He can't help what people bring in but he could be honest in a description.

This guy is either a crook or he simply has no idea about guns.

Careful matey, you offend half of Norfolk when you have a dig at our Philip,

Some might say someone who owns a browning cynergy composite has no idea about guns, but that also may be slanderous

I don't own a Cynergy and nor did I say I have any idea about guns. But I do know if someone is trying to mug me off!!

I'm only messin with you fella, Philip does good work and is relied upon by us local boys to give good honest work, last time I was in he had a pair of Holland Royals to work on thats £150k for the pair and regularly works on So6 and 5's for the Arabs on the local stud farms, he is a great guy and does good work, I have seen the Beretta A400 in question and yes its not a minter but it is £875 as opposed to £1400 plus for a new one, its not that bad and well worth the asking price.

I dont know the guy so maybe a little strong on my behalf.

On the same token if anyone bought a gun off anybody and it was described as 8-9/10 and you got what was described above, I think you'd feel you'd been done.

The op`s description did not match the Gun i saw, but he has ordered a new one and is happy . Phil has sold the A400, so someone has got a nice gun at a good price, everyone is Happy.

please dont get me wrong like i said in my original post Philip on 1st impressions is a real nice guy,the gun was rough, as for the price i just missed out on a absolute stunner in mint cond for £850 so the price doesnt really reflect as their was a guy on here selling one last month for £900 ono
