anser2
I usually buy the cheap boots like Dunlop from a farmers merchant. The cost is around a tenner , they outlast expensive boots my mates ware , are very comfortable and reliable. I would guess I wear mine about 300 + days a year and most last me a minimum of 12 months and a lot more than 18 months. I did splash out on an expensive pair of Argile boots a couple of years ago. They lasted 4 weeks before the heel fell off. On changing them I got through 3 more pairs none lasting more than a month or so all with different faults. SSS
I've heard bad things about the Aubrac boots. I was in the market for some back in November and on looking at reviews and peoples advice, I got a pair of Lowa Tibet Pro GTX. They are fantastic and I simply can't recommend them enough. They took 2 weeks of wearing them every day to break in, but they have never given me and blisters or sore spots. Get some!
SSS
Meindl boots are fantastic too. I have a mate with a pair and he has had them years. Also, have a look into Alt-Berg boots. Theyre made in Britain and the range of sizes is like no other
samboy
Iv'e got a pair of Le cham boots. Only wear them for clay shooting. My other boots are Lowa's, built like Tanks. Whatever you buy dont forget to buy a decent pair of socks.
