Dr Bramble
I have been shooting clear pigeon the (black ones), and recently have had a lot of un burnt charge all over the internals of my guns. small yellow squares everywhere. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just a bad batch perhaps?

Cranfield
I think all cartridges leave deposits in the barrel if they get a bit damp. Main cause is leaving them in your vehicle for days, but apparently it doesn't affect their performance (not that I have noticed). George Digweed comments on it in one of the Fieldsports TV programmes.
sitsinhedges
I think it's cold rather than damp but no manufacturer is going to admit that their cartridges don't work so well in low temperatures so blame the damp as something beyond their control.
