the last engineer
havent been on for a while though still pop in to view some topics, site still looking good. thought i'd put a few words in for those who enjoy Clay Shooting and travel. I just flew back from Florida where I shot in the Seminole Cup Event, what a great shoot, great people and what a great facility. the shoot ran from Thursday through Sunday, Prelims, 5 Stand, FITASC, Sub Gauge, Main Event and games after the days shooting, or during if you had time between. i think there were over 550 registered shooters at the Event and all as far as i could see had a great time, i've only ever shot through Canada before so it was a good test of my shooting. met a great bunch of shooters from all over and all levels, a social event as well as shooting, the facility speaks for itself and has to be one of the best i have shot at, all owners and staff were very respectful and helpful. had the pleasure of watching Wendle Cherry in a shoot off with my good friend Grant and two others for first place in the main, a great shooter and Gent too, watched Wendle shoot off against Doug Vine on FITASC for 1st place, two top shooters. if any of you guys have ever thought of going overseas to shoot i would recomend you seriously consider the Seminole cup as one to take in, if you have a few minutes take a look at the link, im booking for next year already, a long trip down and back but well worth it. http://www.quailcreekplantation.com/# and if you get bored go look for some of them there Crocagators,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if you feel lucky. happy shooting guys. the last engineer
thanks Shaun, Cranfield, always good t otalk to you guys. It's been a hectic few years for me here in Canada, work is building up steady, always room for more but grateful for all thats in the doors. have brought in a few guys from the UK for work, all except one is still here, guess a bad apple can be found in all corners of the world. other than the Florida shoot i last pulled a trigger back in August last year at our provincial championship shoot in Grand Prairie, i shot very well to come in H.O.A. parked the gun as work was taking over, dividing my time between work and the wife has me tied up most of the time,,,,,, that and the fact that shooting in Alberta during winter when the temps are minus 30C and dropping can be detrimental to one's health, also trugging through 8 feet of bloody white stuff has me knackered before i get there. looking forward to getting out more this year, even hoping to get back home for a visit too, one of these days i will drop in on LB (Charlie) and get him out for a beer. hope to be a little more present on the site again, certainly have a lot of catching up to do. regards, Martin. I even won prize for furthest distance travelled much to chargin of couple from Florida- They thought they had it in bag. Dave
