Dead-Eyed Duck
I read some months ago that in the City of London last year there were over 3,000 £1 million bonuses paid to the hard working executives. Now I have just read that this year the figure is going to be over 4,000 £1 million (or over) bonuses to be granted to these hard working grafters. Now being a strictly non-political person, I feel it strange that all this is going on under a socialist government (I can just imagine the reaction from Labour-ites if a Tory government was in power). Any comments at all viewers? Don

Poacher
 If you've worked your way into a position where you can earn a £1million bonus Good on em  :yp: (who was it that said the British don't like success ?) Baldrick
One of my oldest mates, a very likeable and hard-working Norfolk lad, is an investment banker. After 5 year's of working a minimum of 6 days per week and slogging his guts out for a psychotic boss, he is finally seeing the rfinancial eturns, althought the £1mil bonuses are some way off. As Poacher says, they don't just hand those bonuses out willy-nilly. You have to be exceptionally tough, bright and productive. I have the highest respect for anyone good enough to stick it out in such a hostile environment. I am far too thick and lazy to do such a vicious job....... Dunkield
Nothing wrong with performance related bonus's, if they have worked for it let them have it, they are making money for other people as well as themselves.
