throdgrain
Futher to my comment on another topic, I read that a tight choke is preferable on DTL. Could anyone explain why this is please ? Cheers
Lord Geordie
Clays travel AWAY from you at speed so a tighter choke pattern is needed for the distance. The tighter the pattern the more shot at that range in the pattern to dust the clay 1/2 and 3/4 for DTL  LG
Poacher
 you can also use cartridge choice to optimise chances of dusting
throdgrain
I used 1/4 choke sunday like I do for all other clays, I may try 1/4 or something next time then. Incidently, my gun is american and hence uses imp cyl rather than 1/4, someone told me recently than it is a wider choke than 1/4, is that true , does anybody know? All the websites tell me its the same thing.

throdgrain
So as I thought my American gun fitted with Imp Cyl is the same as a UK gun fitted with 1/4 choke - many thanks
