remmy1100
well decided to go out this morning to some permission i have not visited for a few days, i usually lamp it every few days but due to the clear sky`s and moon light ,lack of wind ive not bothered , after walking a matter of yards onto rape field i took a rabbit ,the shot lifted some crows from adjacent field which crossed the hedge just ahead of me ,two more followed as i reached the spot -two shots brought the pair to earth. as i continued around the land i took two pigeon and another rabbit but the best was still to come. I entered a small wood that surrounds the land and exited at the back of my pond ,i came out of the hedge to see a grey lump to my left a woodpigeon .i walked towards it as it was less than 10 ft away but it didnt move only when i was right upon it did it fly, after giving it a sporting chance i fired it fell just next to some rushes that surround my pond.as i picked it up i noticed some new runs into the rushes, so i went to check them out only to hear something flush ahead of me then stop,i advanced it ran again breaking cover some 15 yards ahead running out and to my right .first shot stopped its escape second shot finished the fox not a bad 40 min walkabout pics posted for any intrested

Topgunners
You can't beat a good mixed bag on walkabouts. It also keeps you warm in these dropping temperatures. Dave K
njc110381
I really enjoy walking around and shooting. Beats sitting in a hide and waiting for things to come to you, and you get a wider range of shots

Beats sitting in a hide and waiting for things to come to you, and you get a wider range of shots just been to the same permission on my way to another farm as i was walking outskirts of wood saw another fox through the trees trotting along fence line.the wood is not very wide so in parts you can see right through.got ahead of him but he didnt come but just as i was leaving wood at the bottom caught another sight of him again along fence line but he was not shootable and he disappeared but ill be paying more attention to that permission so hopefully our paths will cross again.......
