Albert 888
Does anyone load the same as above above. Got loading info of the Hodgdon website and it seems to cross match the one book/one calibre manual. Would just like reassurance that starting with 24.5g is ok. PS I am a reloading virgin. Cheers Albert.

Underdog
I can not guide you on your 223 question. What I can tell you is that I used lots and lots of BL-C2 in 222 for many years and many bullet weights and it is very forgiving. It does like to flash in low light. I have used it in 308 also. The magnum primer requirement is due to it being spherical powder. Most spherical powders need a hot flame to get them going especially if no compression exists in the loaded round. I did my 222 loads without a mag primer but all my loads were compressed! Don't be put off from using it, it is a good choice. U. zx10mike
that bullet prefers a 1 in 8 but you might be lucky sierra in my manual states blc2 start 25 and max 27.4 col 2.260 whilst hodgdon states start 24.5 giving 2833 40,600 cup max 26.5 giving 3029 50,100 cup(pressure) so it looks like your starting nice and low good luck check for key holing on your first batch make sure they are stable good luck mike
