lincs1963
I know this has probably been covered many times before but I am going to ask anyway so here goes. I would like to start reloading my own cf ammunition, initially in .308. What I would like to know is what, in peoples opinion/experience would be the best set up to buy as far as presses and all the associated kit goes. I only really want to buy once and not buy something that will do for now and then start upgrading at a later date. I have looked on the internet and in gunmart etc and have no idea as to what is good or bad. Also any books/literature that you could recommend to help me on my way. I am also intending to talk to some members at my club who reload and get there opinions and maybe some hands on instruction. Any advice will be gratefully recieved. Forgot to mention, although I dont know if its relevant, but I will be loading target ammunition. Thanks guys, Neil.

lincs1963
Thanks for the thought but I dont reckon I would be overly keen on something you have to use a hammer with! As I mentioned in my first post I am not too bothered about the money side of things so long as what I buy will do everything that I want. Anyway thanks for the idea, cheers , Neil
kent
A New RSBS kit offers good value and now the priming tool is way better you only need to add dies, shell holders and components pertaining to your calibres. For the best precision in Hand loads you cannot beat hand dies (like those from L.E Wilson) and an arbour press but you still need the big press for FL sizing jobs
Albert 888
I have just started, best thing I did was go on a loading course. Also have good friends who can help me out when I get stuck. I was the same as you buy once buy right, went for the rcbs rockchucker supreme kit £360, comes with the speer reloading book then bought a rcbs full lenghth die and a competition bullet seating die, shell holder, ultra sonic cleaner from aldi £17. Also got the one book one calibre complete reloading manual for .223 can be found by googling only £7. Good luck,I have enjoyed reloading my first batch of 50 just waiting for the snow to clear on the range.
