  1. The best ones I have are all reclaimed from laptop batteries. They just seem to last so much longer than new ones. No idea why though.
  2. John Nowill of Sheffield, genuine issue, £50 from soldier of fortune. Very well made, bomb proof knife.
  3. One spitfire, one hurricane.
  4. It? How rude, you must mean Vera and Thumper.
  5. Thats racist that is.( disgruntled Grimsby resident)
  6. Have fitted aluminium framed doors in the past. Hinges were routed in using a jig, lubricant and slow speed. Dedicated router bits are available for aluminium.
  7. I'm struggling to see how you can 'accidentally' kill yourself with your own shotgun. I would have thought it would be reasonably diificult to do deliberately.
  8. Small point, there is no such thing as an AC (accidental discharge), they are all ND's (negligent discharges). Secondly a broken shotgun is obviously safe even with a fleeting glance, whereas a rifle , bolt removed or otherwise, is not. If you are standing on the wrong side of the gun or too far away you cannot see the state of the weapon. I have seen people on ranges removing rifles from slips with magazines attached, that is a loaded weapon. The person who took my NRA range safety course took a target rifle out of it's case in the centre of a circle of 'students'. It had a magazine attached, when challenged she said 'it's perfectly ok, I keep it there so I don't lose it'. Her next move was to muzzle sweep the entire room, with the mag on!
  9. Good thinking and good result.
  10. I was, of course, not referring to the grand old SMLE but the cadet GP rifle. Just thought I'd clarify that.
  11. Hardest to use, most dangerous 'military' rifle ever put into service, piece of junk. Ok for knocking tent pegs in.
  12. Sea cucumber, turtle, the guard dog of the job I was on, water lilly bulbs and pickled scorpion.
  13. For one day I would just take him out of school. Is his attendance record good? If it is I wouldn't worry about one days absence. I know people who regularly take their kids out of school to go on holiday and always have done, one of them got fined last year for one weeks unauthorized absence, I believe it was £25.
  14. I was talking to a painter who does detecting, but only at night ! I'm assuming he maybe doesn't have the permission he needs to be on that land.
  15. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be at willy woods tomorrow night on the bike. Best be looking out for deer crossing the road.
  16. The reason they only have chest pockets is for wear under webbing, lower pockets would be inaccessible once once the belt is on.
  17. If thats stripped all the way back to brick thats a lot more work than just putting a skim over it. It has to be either rendered or dot and dabbed and then skimmed.

It's hard to see, even with heavy investment, how you can go from losses that big back to being profitable.
  19. A very measured and well put together speech, I wonder what sort of a reaction that sort of speech would have over here if we had a politician with the cojones to deliver and mean it? They sound like the words of a man with his nations future in mind, not just looking to secure his own political future. We need our own Orban here.
  20. What , exactly, are you suggesting we do to make amends for all our past 'sins'?Do you have children or grandchildren? What do you think life will be like for them living here in twenty or so years? High time we started looking after our own first, if there is anything left after that then by all means offer aid to those in need.
  21. Bit of a sweeping statement don't you think.
