eccles
Went this morning to our cousins farm crow shooting took a mate to show how to decoy crows. Left home at 7 ish for a 20 minutes drive to Caersws to the farm. Nice to shot on flat land for a change as to the mountain terrain here. Set up hide in front of some big straw bails that cousin had put up for shelter for his new lambs. Put out the deeks and had our smoke as usual was not long before the crows started to flight in. Let my buddy shoot first not done a lot of shooting fair play. Anyhow he missed a good few shooting over and behind i think. So he said you shoot now i, then shot a dozen or more then told him to have another go. Missed a few then shot 1 chuffed now missed a couple then shot another 1 we had a good laugh. So i took over again shooting ended up with 35 crows. He enjoyed it misses or not so its off to get some practice at some clay soon. Could not believe how they came in to the deeks. Finished at 11.45 packed up and called at Mid Wales Shooting grounds to get some more cartridges on way home.
fabarm gamma boy
Good bag mate! Crows can be difficult targets for some folk to shoot, especialy somebody who dont shoot them much (your freind is who i refer to)! Reminds me of a day i took a guy out with me decoying crows, this guy is one of the best shots iv seen on clays but he could not hit crows like he did clays not at all! Missing nearly every shot! Im the opposite pigeons, game, crows i can shoot consistently but clays i cant, dont no why but just cant! glad your mate enjoyed it, i personaly think crow shooting is brilliant! yeah sometimes they come in so well its hard to beleive and others there extremely wary, well done atb fabarm Edited April 2, 2013 by fabarm gamma boy
