Sportsman I Newport should have a demo one they used to let you take em up to treetops to try out but they opened a shop in competition in can see it being trickier....

Hav,nt been to "Treetops " since Litts finished up and sportsman took over the shop ,heard they got other ranges there as well as the clay shooting but did,nt know they had a shop there ?

Shop is new, treetops now under new ownership and new owners have extended the lodge and opened a shop wasn't much there last time I visited (some time ago). There is a FT air rifle course and zeroing range there was talk of more but not sure what's happened recently my personal opinion is could be better and was with the previous post litts management.

Been shopping this morning got my powder and new carbine case , the Fausti guns they got on offer - Windsor sold out in Newport branch and sales " BOY" I spoke to said don,t know if they got any in Exeter store (could,nt be bothered by seem of him) don,t know how some of these shops do any trade at all if their service is like this , went to another dealer and they had some nice looking "Fabarm Elos field " rrp £1749 but said he,d do a deal on it as its ex.demo gun ,nice oiled wood stock and scrolled action ,I,ve got a Fabarm semiauto had it about 15 years but did,t know they did these o/u,s so unsure about the quality ,they were stamped - made in Italy and he assured me of their build quality ,(link above )anyone know anything of their reputation ?

That,s what I went for today but no stock , If I bought from Kelbrook it would incur two RFD fees would,nt it ?

Back to the fabarm though ,as I said I have a semi 12 i,ve had for years and no problems so are they better ,they certainly felt and looked very nice ,or should i venture further afield in my search for new gun , i see one company on gunwatcg advertising Berreta,s in Bristol .

Worth asking I recon they would probably send one on "approval" and there are cheaper RFD's. If you're only going to look local you will be limited quite severely we don't have a lot of big dealers in the area.... Avalon in somerset are worth a look not too far away.
