JDog
Good shot of my favourite game bird. Just how do Grouse and Ptarmigan survive those arctic conditions?

JDog
There used to be lots of grouse (and Blackcock) in Wales but overgrazing, lack of heather management and the increase in avian predators has reduced the numbers dramatically. cwmmawr
They are improving though in certain areas alot are managed but not for shooting. I have a few estates close to me that offer some walked up Grouse days. Im lucky I can see / hear them most days on a hill near me. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wra-1356313008035/view-page/item425561/
