welshwizard
Ok guess what I really want to know is do you stick to one brand of hull for reloading and is it new primed or as I use to do collected from clay ground and reloaded mainly Winchester hulls , I started reloading only 12 bore /gauge for game and clay loads 70mm but increased to magnum loads for wildfowling and then 20 gauge due to spirraling costs of the more unpopular gauge , just put an order in for .410 gear (hulls and wads) but wondering about pressure variation and data charts for various manufacturer,s of the Hulls in all gauges , how do you alter your load data for these ? B B
Load data will state what hulls to use with each load stick to that. Published data is to be followed exactly. Once you stray off on your own, you are just that on your own.
deershooter
All parrallel tube cases will give simular presure as long as the wad pressure and crimp are constant. Published dater does not have to be used as long as you are sensable in using powder weights that are not at the top end and too much shot. Keep with mild primers CX50 or UEE684 changing types of wad will not make much difference as long as you dont use felt powder loads with plastic wads . usually felt wads require approx 10% more powder than a plastic wad American data for Winchester cases will allways be safe as compression formed cases use 10% less powder than parrellel tube cases. A chrono is a real advantage with .410 if you want to develop loads yourself ,aim for somewhere around 1100-1150 feet per sec keep with reconised .410 powders like Alliant 2400 ,Vectan SP3 ,hodgdon 110,Winchester 296 Happy loading Deershooter Edited April 9, 2013 by deershooter

Paladin
If your primer is not the one that should be used in your recipe/formula nock it out and use the correct one. Don't guess, If in doubt contact the Proof House and send a sample of your finished loads.
