After months and debating i finally picked up a maxus yesterday, synthetic 28 inch. Really good impressions so far, and shoots really well.

Any feedback from any other owners?

Love mine to bits, I was told to put some heavy shells through mine to run it in. Have played with the supplied gasket shims to get it just right to fit my self, very happy with it.

I've had my carbon fibre version nearly a year,it's a cracking gun however I had a box of 21g hull cartridges it didn't spit the empty out very well,

It's cycles my 28g 7.5 very well it's easy to strip down and clean as well :good:

Mine does not like 21g either Will, but every thing above is just fine.

With my Maxus I thought it was the cartridge length (rather than the load) which affected the ejection. It didn't like ejecting 65mm cartridges at all (Hull Comp X, for example). Stick to 67mm and longer and you will be fine. My mate uses a Beretta A391 and he has the same problem. Would be interested in other peoples views on this?

Great gun though, well balanced and totally reliable - even though I'm selling mine (it's on Gunwatch now!). I just seem to hit more with my Ultra XS ....
