Highlander
Lots of birds about and they appear to be flocking up although numerous young birds in those flocks. Still more interested in the acorns and berries than the rape and b***** difficult to decoy as a result. It’s that one shot and all gone season again. Could prove a difficult winter round here as a lot of the rape is well grown, some in excellent condition and about 2’-3’ high and some in flower. Once the acorns and berries have gone what’s Woody gonna do with rape in that condition. Maybe hit those areas that aren’t so good with a vengeance? We live in hope! Almost all the sugar beet has been pulled (something to do with the factory needing supplies early) so not much hope there. Might be in for some interesting things if winter gets hard and there's limited food for Woody.
